AntiFreeze
AntiFreeze is UASUevents’ week-long winter tournament, held the first week back in the winter semester! Dating back to its snowy origins as a 1913 shovel showdown, now 40 teams of 8-12 players compete in 10 indoor and outdoor games for the ultimate prize: an all-expenses-paid ski trip to Jasper! With events like Amazing Race-style adventure, speed-eating contests, dance-offs, obstacle courses, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Open all University of Alberta students, so grab your squad and bring the heat!

Pre-Freeze + Week-long Events
- Team Flags
- Create a flag so magnificent that even the wind will salute it. Bring your flags to the opening ceremony on January 5th and every game thereafter – they’ll be judged, admired, and, most importantly, scored.
- Keep an eye on @UASUevents Instagram after January 5th for a link to vote for your favourite!
- Sleds
- Flex your design and engineering muscles and construct the best sled you possibly can! Must be human-powered, and must be able to be used for a race through Main Quad!
- Teams sleds can be dropped off at Dinwoodie Lounge during waiver signing on January 5th.
- Mission Impossi-Pose
- You’ll be getting some wild and wonderful photo prompts—think outside the frame, get creative, and most importantly, have a blast!
- Teams will submit photos through the Goosechase App throughout the week.
