This is your Sustainable Campus

The SUBsprout Thrift Store is a student-focused secondhand shop primarily located in the Students’ Union Building (SUB) at the University of Alberta. SUBsprout may also sprout up around other locations on campus, so be sure to keep an eye out for announcements!

Our goal is to make sustainable shopping easy, affordable, and accessible for students. We offer a rotating selection of gently used clothing, cookware, bedding, and more, all priced with student budgets in mind.

All proceeds from SUBsprout support the Campus Food Bank, so every purchase and donation helps strengthen our campus community.

We also host workshops and events focused on sustainable living, clothing repair, and low-waste habits so you can keep your favourite pieces in use longer and learn how small changes can make a big impact.
