Volunteer Registry

Your Campus Connection

Description:

The volunteers in this project will support the work of an Eco-social and Cultural Center in Villa Busch, in the west zone of Cochabamba, on the outskirts of the city. The Center was opened in 2014 and it has a public library, an organic garden and a hostel for volunteers. The project aims to sensitize the local population on issues of waste management and environmental protection, and to promote urban gardens in the community.

The volunteer activities include:
• Raising awareness through campaigns for recycling and reusing waste.
• Building a room with natural materials.
• Environmental education workshops for children, youth and adults.
• Cultural and educational activities will be held in the central plaza of Cochabamba in the evening.

Project dates: January 10 - January 20, 2020

Benefits:

Participating in an international short term volunteer project (so called Workcamp) can be an exciting prospect. It is an interesting and meaningful way to travel with purpose and spend 2-3 weeks in a foreign environment. Working and living together with other volunteers from around the world provides an excellent opportunity to make many new friends, learn about unknown places and culture, gain new skills and experience. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm can make a difference in areas where help is really needed.
After successful participation CADIP issues a certificate for the completed volunteer hours.
