Bike Library & Workshop
The Bike Library & Workshop is OPEN!
The Bike Library & Workshop is a community bike shop on campus and is an initiative under Sustain SU. We are fully-equipped with the tools and space necessary to repair and maintain bikes. Bike repairs are DIY, however our volunteers & Bike Library Mechanic can provide guidance and offer some help. Tool and stand use is completely FREE, but we do take monetary donations!
The Bike Library also sells used and new components and parts such as tubes, tires, and other accessories. We are not taking donations of bikes due to the lack of space, but feel free to donate any parts or components that are not a use to you.
Note: We do not bleed hydraulic brakes or repair suspension. Please visit your local bike shop for these specialized services.
World Environment Day is June 5! To observe this day and promote sustainability on our campus, we are hosting a virtual Bikeathon between June 6-19 through Strava! Strava is a free to use running/cycling app for iOS and Android devices that is used for tracking and analyzing rides and workouts. You can sign-up for free and join our Strava club.
- Register online using this Sign-Up form
- Once registered, join our Club on Strava! https://www.strava.com/clubs/ssublwbikeathon2022
- Between June 6-19 record and track your rides, take a picture during or after your ride!
The top 3 riders with the most distance will be awarded cool prizes. There are prizes for those who participate, but must ride a minimum of 10 km total to qualify. After June 19, the data will be analyzed and rewards will be distributed or be available for pick up at InfoLink in the basement of SUB.
We will be hosting Basic Bike Maintenance workshops in July. Interested? Fill out this form
