Join our team as an Assistant Summer Camp Leader to help lead young participants on a learning adventure. You will work with a camp instructor in a classroom setting to encourage interactive learning in a variety of science and robotic camps designed specifically with fun in mind for youth 4-14 years of age.
Summer camp shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday throughout JULY and AUGUST and require a full-week commitment. ACL's are scheduled a minimum of 3 camps during the summer, either morning or afternoon shifts. A full-day camp consists of both a morning and afternoon shift and will be considered as 2 of the 3 minimum 3-camp requirement.
Half-Day Shifts,(Mon-Fri):8:30am - 1:00pm OR 12:00pm - 4:30pm
Full-Day Shifts,(Mon-Fri):8:30am - 4:30pm (with break)

The sky is the limit when you share Astronomical information. Share your passion for astronomy and showcase the skies above as an Assistant Observatory Attendant. Our knowledgeable Observatory Attendants supervise the set-up and use of telescopes during public observing sessions, and share relevant information to lead our guests on an astronomical adventure.
September - June - Weekend Shifts (Saturday, Sunday & Holidays): 12:45 - 4:00pm OR 6:45pm - 10:00pm.
Friday Shifts: 6:45pm - 10:00pm.

Volunteers are requested to commit to a 3-5 hour shift per week for a total of 40 hours over a 3 month period.

July - August - Daily Shifts, (Mon - Sun):1:00pm - 5:00pm OR 6:30pm - 10:00pm. Observatory shifts can be scheduled on the same day each week throughout the summer , OR the equivalent number of hours (minimum 40) can be completed over a compressed 2 to 3 week period, with daily shifts 4-6 hours in length scheduled each week.

Help children realize the wonderment of discovery through hands-on learning experiences. This is a great opportunity to work with our School Program Instructors in a classroom setting. You will be involved in assisting the instructors with set up and take down of interpretive program materials, organizing and packing of program kits, and inspiring and motivating students through guided support.
September - June Weekday shifts:
Monday to Friday 9:00am - 2:30pm (am or pm shifts as per bookings)
Home School Programs - One Monday per Month 10:30am - 3:45pm, as per booking, (morning and/or afternoon)
Special Themed Events - Various Weekdays 9:00 - 3:00pm, as per event. (morning and/or afternoon booking).

Volunteers are requested to commit to a 3-5 hour shift per week, over a 3 month period, for a total of 40 hours.

As an official host for visiting schools you will welcome and usher these groups to their scheduled program activities. Learning destinations include the IMAX Theatre, the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre, themed exhibit galleries, interpretive science classrooms, etc.
September - June:

Help Greet the World! You will be instrumental in welcoming our guests, identifying their needs, responding to questions, and directing them to their required destination in a timely and efficient manner. This is a dynamic public relations and key ambassador role to promote all the programs and services that TELUS World of Science offers. Hosts will be positioned in a variety of key traffic areas and queuing stations within the main lobby.
September - June-Weekend Shifts:
Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: 9:30am - 1:30pm or 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Volunteers are requested to commit to a 3-5 hour shift per week over a 3 month period, for a total of 40 hours.

Make Science Sizzle and help others discover the world and beyond as you guide visitors through interactive learning opportunities within our dynamic exhibit galleries. This is a great opportunity to showcase your experience and share your love of science and/or technology with others!

September - June: Daily Shifts (& Holidays): 10:15am - 1:15pm or 12:15pm - 3:15pm

Volunteers are requested to commit to a 3- 5 hour shift each week, over a 3 month period for a total of 40 hours.

July - August: Daily Shifts, (Mon - Sun): 10:15am - 1:15pm or 12:15pm - 3:45pm OR
Shifts in weekly Blocks: Half Day (morning or afternoon , as noted above)
Full Day 10:15am - 4:15pm.
Interpretive shifts can be scheduled on the same day each week throughout the summer, OR the equivalent number of hours (minimum 40) can be completed over a compressed 2 to 3 week period, with daily shifts 4-6 hours in length scheduled each week.

Coming in June!!DIG UP THE PAST in our Dinosaurs: Down to the Bone travelling exhibit and share your love of palaeontology as a dedicated Dinosaurs Gallery Interpreter. Previous experience with fossils and/or palaeontology is an asset.
