The PSI is a non-profit group of communicators and science enthusiasts who attempt to help make science more understandable and accessible to the public. For more information, please visit www.PublicScienceInstitute.org.

The PSI gives public talks on scientific concepts and research in a way that is understandable to the general public.

The manager will provide leadership and direction to the public talks team to plan, organize and execute these talks.

Duties include:

-Working with other PSI members to determine topics of interest
-Booking talks at publicly accessible locations
-Booking speakers to give the talks
-Attending and evaluating the talks
-Working with other PSI teams to promote the event
-Introducing speakers and facilitating Q&A sessions after the talks

Scientific curiosity and enthusiasm are necessary, and communication skills will be heavily used.

The time commitment for this role is roughly 2-4 hours per week fitting your schedule.

This leadership position forms an integral part of the PSI Executive committee. The CCO is in charge of ensuring that the communication methods we employ are effective, ethical, and improving. The CCO must approve all project outputs. Specific roles and responsibilities will include:

- Development and monitoring of the organization's promotional materials including event or program posters and social media strategy, and monthly newsletters to members and volunteers,
- Review all PSI programs and outputs for sound communication, accuracy of brand representation, and language before giving approval for release
- Develop, monitor and evaluate the organization’s strategic plan
- Attend bi-weekly executive meetings and provide updates on progress
-Complete monthly and quarterly reports on the the progress of the communication committee

The time commitment for this role is roughly 3-5 hours per week fitting your schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and attending meetings
- Organizing podcast recordings
- Researching material for episodes
- Speaking on the podcast

PSI Kids brings the mission of PSI to children in a fun, engaging way. They provide education and engagement through YouTube videos, School presentations, Science fairs and Parent / Child activities. This position will have the following roles and responsibilities:

- Animate YouTube videos
- Extensive collaboration with video writers and other team animator(s)
- Design and cater videos for a younger audience
