Description:
Leisure companions provide companionship, support and socialization to Brain Care Centre’s clients who are living with acquired brain injury. Activities may include playing card games, going for walks, reading, socializing, running errands, going to the gym, etc. Become a leisure companion and create a positive impact, both in the life of an individual and in your community. We are only accepting application 18 +
Duties include:
- Helping the assigned client reach their goals
- Setting goals with the client
- Making necessary accommodations to ensure the client’s success
- Encouraging and supporting the client
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the client
- Upholding an open communication with the Volunteer Coordinator and Service Coordinator

Qualifications:
18 plus
- Interest or experience in working with individual's with disability
- compassionate
- patient
- client orientated
- Great communication skills
