Description:

Water being the most valuable and at the same time one of the scarce natural resources, there is a tremendous need for harvesting available rainwater. Rainwater is an economical, safe and sustainable source of quality water when it is captured and stored in a correct manner.

With the concept of “catch water where it falls”, we cooperate with local organisations that are working for conservation and promotion of water resources through multiple approaches. Generating awareness among various sections of the local communities is an important dimension of the program. Volunteers can contribute to these initiatives through various creative input and participation in campaigns for promoting water literacy, documentation and research undertakings.

Duration of the project: The project is run all year round. Minimum duration is 1 month. The project starts on the first Monday of every month.

Benefits:

A volunteer experience may give you ideas or a push in deciding your professional aspirations - one of the most important and difficult decisions one should make in life. It can make stronger your motivation or give you additional inspiration in what you are studying or working. And most important, by being a volunteer you gain the hands-on experience you will hardly get at lectures or at the office desk. In a workcamp you can have such an involving and inspiring time!
After successful participation CADIP issues a certificate for the completed volunteer hours.
