Election Workshops 2021-2022

The LEAD Centre will be hosting election workshops throughout the school year in collaboration with the Elections Office and Student Group Services to help prepare you to run or support someone running for student governance! These workshops will provide context and support for any student governance position on campus, from Student Group elections to UASU Executive. The workshops will cover a variety of skills that are essential for successful candidates, such as Elections 101, Identity Politics, Creating a Brand, etc. The specific workshops are listed with their dates and times below. The workshops will be free and will be held online to comply with COVID-19 restrictions and for ease of accessibility. We encourage you to come check out the workshops so you can have all the tools that you need to succeed!

The Election Workshops are an extension of Stride Campaign School, which aims to give the knowledge and the community necessary to empower more students of marginalized genders to get involved in decision making and student governance at the University of Alberta. Stride Campaign School is accepting applications for this year's 2021-2022 cohort until September 30th!
