I fell in love with Augustana the moment I stepped on campus, and I want to represent this campus with the integrity and honor that it deserves. I have experience in leadership with 7 years of 4-H and being in executive positions for 4 of those years. I am currently bringing more clubs to this campus with the assistance of many people I have met through networking. On top of this, I have been volunteering in Camrose and the surrounding community to advocate for its people on a provincial level. One issue that continues to catch my attention is the fact that North Campus does not give Augustana the respect that it deserves. There have been multiple decisions made there that have affected us, and there was limited consultation with Augustana in those matters. Something I will spearhead is the amendment of the Ravine Parking Lot. During the cold snap, many vehicles were unable to operate due to the lack of plug-ins in the parking lot, and I will change that. I promise to be that strong voice to speak up for our campus, and I will represent the students here fairly. We have an unbelievable amount of fantastic opportunities here that make me proud to have chosen this campus.

My name is Nate Goetz, and I am running to be the Augustana student Councillor on the Student Union and GFC for the 2024/2025 school year. Over the last year, I have had the privilege of serving as the Social Science Representative on the Augustana Students Association, where I advocated for students and improved their experience at Augustana. I am running for the Student Union as Augustana has been ignored on North Campus in the past, and too many decisions have been made without input from Augustana students; I want to ensure Augustana students have a voice on North Campus. Should I be elected, I am hoping to work with the ASA to advocate for Augustana students, foster a relationship between the UASU Executives and Augustana students, address the need for transportation at Augustana, update the UASU Cares website to have more information on Camrose healthcare, and to expand the UASU Perks app to be more useful at Augustana.
