A few days before your selected day, we will send you an email with your meeting spot on campus. In the meantime, here’s what to know about your New Student Orientation.
What to bring?
- Your printed class schedule.
- A water bottle.
- A charged phone/device
- Snacks and lunch (there are food options available on campus!).
- Comfortable clothing and shoes.
During New Student Orientation, you'll have the opportunity to explore the University of Alberta with a group of fellow incoming students in the same faculty. Together, you'll attend presentations, go on a campus tour, pickup your ONEcard, and get to meet some of the amazing student clubs you could join!

Presidents' Address @ Campus Kickoff - September 2, 2023 (3:30pm - 5:30pm)
Location: Main Quad
This is an annual celebration that brings together students from across the university! Hear from prominent university figures, including the President of the U of A, the President of the U of A Students' Union, and the President of the Alumni Association. Don't miss out on one of the largest school pride events of the year! Wear your best green & gold, bring your friends, and celebrate the start of a promising and exciting school year
