The Vice President External is responsible for Students' Union relations with government and the larger community. Key aspects of this portfolio include developing policy on issues such as post-secondary funding, coordinating provincial and national lobbying efforts, and improving the public profile of students and their concerns.

Associate Vice President External

The Associate Vice-President (External) works alongside the Vice President (External). Duties of the AVPEX include chairing and organising the SU's annual High School Leadership Conference (HSLC), chairing the Campaigns Planning and Action Committee (CPAC), and acting as the campus and external community liaison for the Students' Union. This includes sitting on various University committees and focus groups. In addition to this, the AVPEX collaborates with the Advocacy department in coordinating campus and external advocacy campaigns, projects, and initiatives that are aimed at enhancing the undergraduate experience.
