For 2012, Involvement Week has been redeveloped and rebranded as Spirit Week! Hosted by InfoLink and Student Group Services, Spirit Week is meant to celebrate the contributions that U of A students make to the community.

This year's Spirit Week will feature a concert, involvement fair, a wrap up party at Dewey’s, and daily prize giveaways. The event will run from January 16 – 19 and all students are encouraged to join in the fun!

Monday - Wednesday | 9AM to 4PM | Students' Union Building

Thursday | 2PM to 6PM | Students' Union Building

Note: This fair will also be held in the main hall of Lister Centre on Monday from 9AM to 4PM

This four day fair will provide students with an opportunity to explore the different types of involvement opportunities that exist on and around the U of A campus. Students will be able to learn about volunteer organizations and student groups who specialize in opportunities related to health, athletics, entertainment, education, community development, and more. Students who visit at least three exhibits during the fair will be eligible to win one of our daily Spirit Week prizes. Daily prizes will include:

• Tickets to an Edmonton Oilers Game
• a PlayStation 3
• an iPod Nano
• Visa Gift Cards (valued @ $100 each)
• a Safeway Gift Card (valued at $100)

On Monday, January 16, students living in Lister will be able to learn about these opportunities from the comfort of their own home, as the Volunteer & Clubs Fair will be making a special appearance in the main hall of Lister Centre. Students who visit the Lister Fair will be eligible to win a special Lister Dodgeball League prize pack!

Individuals who stop by SUB at noon on Monday, January 16, will be treated to a free concert! The Spirit Week Kick Off Concert will feature performances by a variety of local talent (TBA). In addition to the live entertainment, audience members will also be able eligible to win Spirit Week prizes.

Spirit Week will wrap up with a Celebration of Community at Dewey's on campus. The evening will feature appearances by DJ David McBean, Frank Robinson (Dean of Students), and Rory Tighe (SU President). Students from across campus are invited to mix and mingle with members of the community, and all are invited to enter for their chance to win a new 32GB iPad! The first 100 guests through the door will receive drink vouchers, so be among the first to arrive!
