Book A Venue

Below, we've compiled a handy chart of how to book venues on campus. There are costs associated with these venues; however, SUB Venues charge student groups a discounted rate.

Rent an Office, Locker or Mailbox

Student Group Services offers 15 Mailboxes, 23 lockers and 23 offices for rent on a yearly basis. Locker and Mailbox spaces rent for $25/year and office space rents vary, depending on usage and length of rental period. Mailboxes are also available in SUB 2-900. Please speak to the reception (in SUB 2-900) about this.

For the 2011-2012 year, SUB Office Transition will take place in August. To make sure that your group retains its office, please contact Bill at co.clubs@su.ualberta.ca, make sure that your group is registered with us, and fill out the Office Form on the Student Group Services BearsDen Page (available under FORMS).

Offices :: Offices may be rented for one academic year or by semester.

A student group may rent one of two types of office:

1. "Office hours & other activities" office: If your group needs a place to work, needs to hold office hours, and basically needs a desk and some breathing room, this is the type of office for you. This type of office is usually shared with one other group.
2. "Storage space" office: If all your group needs is a place to keep your stuff, and maybe some helpful shelves to keep it organized, this is the type of office for you. This type of office is usually shared with two or three other groups.

Equipment Rental

SGS has several pieces of equipment available for student groups to rent out. We will require your group to put down the specified deposit amount, which you will get back upon returning the item. (So, it's free!) Deposits may be in the form of Student Group Cheque or cash (Sorry no personal cheques!)
