Receiving Your Loan
- A Notice of Assessment (NoA) will be made available on your online OSAP account. This will indicate the type of funding, amount, when and where your money will be sent.
- The ministry will send your Canada Student Loan Agreement with instructions and the Ontario Confirmation of Enrollment to the Fees office on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building.
- Be sure that the Fees Office signs the Canada Student Loan Agreement and the Ontario Confirmation of Enrollment before handing it back to you.
- The Ontario Confirmation of Enrollment indicates the amount you earned over the summer months, be sure that this amount is correct. This may adjust your second disbursement if you earned more or less than your original estimated amount.
- The filled-out Ontario Confirmation of Enrollment must be sent to OSAP.
- The filled-out Canada Student Loan Agreement must be processed at a designated Canada Post Outlet which includes the Canada Post in SUB. You will need to bring your Loan Agreement(s), Photo ID, SIN card and banking information (void cheque).
- Funding usually takes 5-10 business days to be deposited into your bank account. A portion may be sent automatically to the school. If you are not sure if this applies to you, ask SFAIC.
- To receive your second installment of funding, halfway through the year you can pick up your Loan Agreement from the Fees Office.
- Canada Access Grants will be included on the Loan Agreements.
