Receiving Your Loan

• A Notification of Eligibility will be mailed to the address on your file about 25 days after NWTSFA has received your completed application. This will indicate the type and amount of funding you have been granted.
• If you apply by the application deadline, your initial financial assistance payment will be deposited within 10 working days of the NWTSFA receiving the last required document, but not before your first day of school.
• All payments for the remainder of your semester will be deposited by the first day of each month.
• If you miss the application deadline, you may still qualify to receive funding for the semester. Late applications will be assessed only after all students who applied by the deadline have been evaluated and paid. This process may take up to 90 days.
• Remember to submit a Form E - Payments and Financial Transaction Authorization if you would like your assistance payments made directly to your bank account.
