Receiving Your Loan
- A Notice of Assessment (NoA) will be mailed to your address on file (also available online). This will indicate the type of funding, amount, when and where your money will be sent.
- You will be sent an Income Confirmation Form that must be filled out and faxed or mailed to NFL Student Financial Services Division after classes have started, but before 8 weeks (from the start of classes) have passed.
- A "Certificate of Eligibility and Canada Student Loan and Newfoundland and Labrador Student Loan Agreement" (also known as a Certificate of Eligibility) will be sent to the University Fees office on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building.
- Be sure that the Fees Office signs the Certificate of Eligibility before handing it back to you.
- Take the Certificate of Eligibility to a designated Canada Post Outlet which includes the Canada Post in SUB for further processing. You will need to present your Photo ID, SIN card and banking information (void cheque).
- Funding will usually take 5-10 business days before being deposited into your bank account. A portion may be sent automatically to the school. If you are not sure if this applies to you, ask SFAIC.
