You can check the status of your loan at any time by phoning (204) 945-6321. Your application must be received 2 months before the end of your year of study or your application will not be considered.

What Can I Do Online?

• Download and print 'Request for Review' forms.

What Can SFAIC Do For Me?

Come into our office, and we can:

• Assist you with completing your Manitoba Student Assistance package.
• Answer any questions you may have about the Manitoba and Canada Student Loan programs, loan repayment, bursaries and other funding options.
• Contact Manitoba Student Aid on your behalf if you are having difficulties with your application.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply, you must:

• Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (landed immigrant).
• Be a Manitoba resident (must have lived in Manitoba for 12 consecutive months without being a full-time post-secondary student).
• Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 60% of a full course load) in an approved program of at least 12 weeks in length within a period of 15 consecutive weeks and display satisfactory progress.
• Not be in default on previous federal or provincial loans and meet credit worthiness criteria.
• Have legitimate financial need.

Spring and Summer Session:

• Funding is available for Spring and Summer sessions. You must fill out a new application form, which can be downloaded from the website, for these semesters.
