Appeals
- If students feel that the loans that have been given are not sufficient to meet basic tuition and living requirements, they can send in an appeal. Simply write a letter explaining the current circumstances to the Appeal Committee at the Winnipeg Office.
- Students must also contact their office to find out what kind of documentation must be included with the letter. The purpose of the letter is to explain why and how much extra funding is needed. For example, if books were more than anticipated, nclude a receipt -for the books contrasting the expected cost. Include syllabi, which determine that these books are required.
- Processing time for an appeal or review can take up to seven weeks and must be started two months before the end of the student's period of study.
- If there are any changes to personal information, the student must notify Manitoba Student Aid in writing.
