Reassessments:
If information on your original BC Student Aid application changes after you submit it, you must advise the Student Services Branch by completing and sending in an Appendix 7, which is available at SFAIC or from the Student Services Branch.
Reassessment changes include:
- Changes in your income, assets, or investments;
- Changes in the financial estimates, assets, or investments of your spouse, common-law partner, parent(s), step-parent(s), sponsor(s), or legal guardian(s);
- Changes in your marital status or dependent information;
- Change of program at the same school, or change in start and end dates within the current program year; OR
- Change in the name of your school if you change schools after submitting your application and before you receive any funding. If you transfer schools after you receive BC Student Aid funding, you must notify the Student Services Branch by completing and sending in an Appendix 5, which is available at SFAIC or from the Student Services Branch.
Request for review:
You may request a special review of your BC Student Aid application by completing and sending in an Appeal Request Form from the Appeal Forms and Instructions publication. if exceptional circumstances exist which do not fall within program policy.
The most common situations for review are:
- Additional transportation allowance;
- Assessment of parent, step-parent, sponsor, or legal guardian contribution;
- Assessment of spousal contribution;
- Assessment of student contribution;
- Assessment of student assets;
- Exceptional expenses
