Parent Orientation
Congratulations! You’ve helped get your son or daughter through high school and now it’s time for them to enter their post secondary education. This transition can be an overwhelming process, which is why we at the University of Alberta have put together Parent Orientation.
We want to let you know just what the UofA has to offer and give you the information and resources to continue supporting your student as they enter this next phase of their life. It is important to know what your son or daughter will be facing over the next few years, so you can be the best post secondary parent you can be. It is our goal to help you through this transition, as we know it can be just as daunting for you as it can be for your student.
There are two dates to choose from for Parent Orientation: July 7th or August 25th.
What is Parent Orientation?
Parent Orientation is a program designed to give you, the parents, the tools to help your new post secondary students succeed. This year we have two different options for you to attend, and one for your daughter or son too!
Frequently Asked Questions
I can’t make it to any of the sessions but I want to learn how to help my student. What can I do?

Can my Student attend the Parent Orientation?
