Break the Record
Return of the UofA
The University of Alberta has reclaimed its title as the record-holder of the world’s largest dodgeball game!
In front of an official representative from Guinness World Records, 4,979 staff, students and alumni gathered in the Butterdome on February 3, 2012 to take another crack at the record the university claimed last year. The U of A set the record with 2,012 players last year, which the University of California, Irvine, successfully challenged seven months later with 4,000 players.
In the end, the gold team defeated the green team in the record-setting game. Be sure to check back next year to see our next record-setting goal!
Make sure to check out the photos on Facebook from the 2012 game.
