Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Family Orientation?
Family Orientation takes place in the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS) which is located along Saskatchewan Drive on the northern edge of campus. There will be signage to help guide you from various parking lots and the LRT station to CCIS.
Where can I park?
We suggest that you park in any of the following lots: Windsor, Jubilee, Stadium, or Education Car Park, all located near 87th Avenue.
Do I have to bring a student to attend Family Orientation?
You do not need to bring a student to attend. Parents and guardians can come by themselves to Family Orientation and the Family Information Nights.
Does my student still need to attend Orientation in the fall?
Family Orientation does not replace the general Orientation program that your son or daughter will attend on September 4th, 2017. Students can register for new student Orientation by clicking here.
Are there any student specific programs to help get a head start in university life?
Yes! The T2U: Transition to University online course and Academic Bootcamp summer workshops are designed to give students a head start on first-year before they even get here. For more information visit www.ualberta.ca/t2u.
