SUTV

In the fall of 2010, the U of A Students’ Union installed a series of ten 46" television screens around the Students’ Union Building, placed to catch the eyes of the close to 25,000 people who pass through the building each day.

SUTV was developed to provide information about upcoming events and ongoing services to students on campus, while also providing a feed of relevant information, including news and weather, throughout the day.

It is also designed as an advertising medium for the university at large and for commercial businesses: as such, SUTV is a excellent and timely way to keep students up to date with your business’ service or product, and to highlight upcoming or ongoing promotions.

Departures Board / Listings Board

We are pleased to introduce our newest digital signage innovation - the Departures Board and Listings Board. This pair of 55" high definition screens features a variety of useful and eye-catching information for students, staff and visitors to the University of Alberta campus. The Departures Board continually displays the next three departure times for each bus and LRT route departing from the University Transit Centre, while the Listings Board features live real-time listings from a variety of campus registries including the job registry, the housing registry and the volunteer registry.

The first Departures Board has already been rolled out in the Students' Union Building and has received a positive response. Numerous additional locations across campus are currently being evaluated, with an eventual planned rollout of close to a dozen pairs of screens.
